About CultivatED
Practitioner led support for Tennessee schools, grown from the work itself.

Meet Jacob Dunn
Jacob Dunn is the founder of CultivatED Educational Consulting and a current Tennessee high school assistant principal. He lives and works in McMinnville, Tennessee. Jacob has served in education since 2008 and has been a school administrator since 2022. Before moving into administration, he spent fourteen years teaching high school social studies, covering every course in the department except economics.
Education
- Ed.S., Middle Tennessee State University
- Master of Education, Cumberland University
- Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Cumberland University
As a practitioner, Jacob spends his days where campus operations, secondary leadership, and classroom instruction meet. He knows that the best plan in the world does not matter if it cannot survive a fire drill, a substitute shortage, and a schedule change in the same week. That experience shapes everything CultivatED offers: practical tools, honest conversations, and support built to last after the engagement ends.
Why the Name
Good schools are grown, not installed. The CultivatED logo, a tree growing from an open book, reflects what we believe: strong learning and strong leadership take root through steady, patient, well tended work.
How We Work
- Listen first. Every engagement starts with understanding your campus, your people, and your goals.
- Keep it practical. Tools are simple enough to use on a busy day.
- Plan for after. Success means your team can carry the work forward without us.
- Stay honest. We share the evidence, its limits, and what we do not know.
- Protect privacy. We never collect or publish student data.
Our Lane
CultivatED focuses on three areas:
- Campus operations
- Secondary leadership
- Instruction and growth
